2016 UFCW Local 328 Scholarship Application

Every year, the Local 328 Scholarship Committee awards $1,500 scholarships to the top ten applicants of our Scholarship Awards Program. The winners are chosen based on how well they address the issue or question described in the prompt. 2016 will be no different, with the essay topic reading as follows:

Explain what the Union can do to get young people excited about the labor movement, and what the Local needs to do to connect with these young workers.

Students interested in applying must be enrolled full time in a degree program at any post-secondary college/university, or at a vocational/technical school. The scholarship is open to all active dues paying members who are in good standing with Local 328 or the Local 328 Retirees Club, or to the spouse, child, or grandchild of an active dues paying member of Local 328 or the Local 328 Retirees Club. Your essay must be a minimum of five hundred (500) words, and your name should NOT be included in the essay itself. Below is the application form that needs to be read and completed. We strongly encourage all eligible potential applicants to participate in the program. We look forward to reading your essays!
