Local 328 and Community Allies Continue to Rally Support for Stop & Shop Workers
Local 328 continued to apply pressure to Stop & Shop this morning as union members, shop stewards, and elected officials gathered at stores to leaflet customers about the insulting concessions the company has continued to propose during negotiations. Unsurprisingly, our loyal customers and their families continue to express overwhelming support for our members and their families during this challenging time. Many committed to calling the company directly to insist that Stop & Shop’s executives need to do right by the hard working men and women responsible for the company’s continued success. Thank you to the members of Local 328 who passed out thousands of flyers and collected signatures from the loyal customers who are standing with us! We would also like to thank the other members of our communities who took time out of their day to show their support for Stop & Shop’s workers. Finally, we’d like to thank Rhode Island State Representative Aaron Regunberg (pictured on the far right of the photo below) for showing his support for our members and their families. We all know that when benefits get cut, not only does it hurt the workers and their families, but it hurts the community, too. Arm in arm. Stronger together. Stronger than ever!
