Policy Changes at Stop & Shop

Beginning today, Stop & Shop will limit the occupancy levels in stores to 50% to minimize the risk of both workers and customers contracting the virus. In locations where there may be state or local orders with stricter guidelines, Stop & Shop will enforce those.

Also, beginning tomorrow, April 7th, all aisles will be one-way to respect social distancing. As we continue to push for additional measures in stores, we ask the community to please respect social distancing and to limit your trips and when possible, reduce the amount of people you shop with. We understand this can be challenging if you have children. We also need elected officials to step up and do the right thing for our workers and communities and designate grocery workers as emergency personnel. This will help give workers greater access to testing, personal protection as it becomes available and childcare services (emergency childcare services are available for grocery employees in Massachusetts. If you’d like more information, please reach out).

For everybody who has voiced their concerns, we hear you and we appreciate you. Keep making your voice heard. Your health and safety is our priority. We encourage you to send us a message or call us at 401-861-0300 with any questions or concerns. For everybody on the frontlines, we thank you.
