STOP & SHOP NEGOTIATION UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today Local 328 met with your employer along with representatives from Locals 1445, 1459, 371, 919. Some serious discussions included Pension and Health & Welfare, yet nothing has yet been agreed to. The leadership has pressed the company to agree to move some of the major issues to sub committees.
The company is holding their position to reducing future pension accruals for full-timers as well as pressing for higher contributions to the full-time health and welfare plan, and in 2012, creates a part-time health and welfare plan which would have a large contribution of 30%.
We will continue to keep you updated as to the progress of these negotiations. Always remember your unity is your strength and your strength is your unity.
