It is time once again for us to use some of our time to re-educate and re-energize ourselves for the purpose of strengthening our union as well as protecting our jobs, our families and our brothers and sisters in the labor movement.

The Stewards Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Venus de Milo Restaurant on Route 6 in Swansea, Massachusetts.  Registration will start at 7:30 Am with the Conference opening promptly at 8:30 AM and closing at approximately 4:30 PM.

As you know one of the most important jobs you have as a Steward is to educate yourself, as well as your members, so that you may continue to improve yourself on the job.   Please return your RSVP card, that you received in the mail, to us as soon as possible.

We would also like to remind you about our 5th Annual Toy Drive.  Once again, we are asking each Steward to bring in a new, unwrapped toy to the Stewards Conference.  We encourage you to consider children of all ages.  Perhaps a gift card would be easier for our older kids and remember whatever you do will be greatly appreciated by the Local and members children we give to.

These children have their Christmas through your donations.  Over the last four years we have provided toys to 233 union member families with 476 children.

As you know, being a union member means standing together for the many causes that affect our lives and the lives of our families.  Together we are strong and together we can make a difference.
