Stop & Shop Negotiations Update

**** UPDATE FOR ALL UFCW STOP & SHOP MEMBERS ****

April 14, 2019

Members,

You have all made an amazing and effective impact today on the busiest grocery shopping day of the week. You should all be proud of how you, your coworkers, and your communities are standing together to fight for better jobs.

We met with the company several times today. While negotiations continue, keep engaging with your customers and reminding the community what this is all about: protecting health care, good jobs, and better pay for New England families.

As a reminder, remain courteous to those who need items from the pharmacies inside the stores. Many of these members of the community may not have other options and we know all too well what it’s like when access to health care is under threat.

A few of you have reached out with questions about strike funds or unemployment benefits. Should they become necessary, please contact your union rep at your store for more information. We want to make sure you know that you are not alone in this fight.

Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to your union family and your communities.

Standing United,

Your UFCW Local Union Leadership
