CHRISTMAS IN JULY AT THE JULY QUARTERLY MEETINGS

UFCW Local 328 Women's Network is conducting its' annual TOY DRIVE to benefit Local 328 members in need this coming holiday season.  Thanks to our generous members, we were able to bring smiles to the faces of 176 children last year.

We are asking everyone to please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the July membership meeting.  We graciously accept any donation, however, please consider the children between the ages of 12 and 15 who may love to receive a gift certificate.

If you are unable to attend the July meeting, please give your toy item to your Union Steward or contact Ellen Jordan at 401-861-0300 or toll free 800-624-7776.

AGAIN, we THANK YOU for the joy you'll bring to the Local 328 children this holiday season.

ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE ON SATURDAY, MAY 8, 2010

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) in partnership with the AFL-CIO Community Services network and the United Way is holding its Annual Food Drive on Saturday, May 8th.  Last year the NALC Food Drive collected over 73.4 million pounds of food that went to replenish the shelves of the local food banks!  This record amount of food helped to feed an estimate of over 30 million Americans, including more than 12 milion children.

All a person needs to do to help is place a box or bag or nonperishable food next to their mail box before the letter carrier delivers the mail on Saturday, May 8th.  The carrier will do the rest.  The food is taken to the Postal Station then it's sorted and delivered by Union Volunteers to area food banks or pantires for needy familes to access.

Thank you for your support of the National Letter Carriers Food Drive.
