UFCW Local 328 Scholarship Application for 2019

The Local 328 Scholarship Committee annually awards ten (10) $1,500 Scholarships. The Scholarship Program is open to all active dues paying members who are in good standing with Local 328 or with the Local 328 Retirees’ Club, or to the spouse, child or grandchild of an active dues paying member as stated above.

Students must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at any post secondary college/university or vocational/technical school.  Students wishing to apply for the scholarship are required to submit a minimum five hundred (500) word essay on the topic below.  Your name should not be on or included within your essay. Please refer to the scholarship application for further eligibility rules and restrictions.   

The topic of this year’s essay is:

You are speaking to someone who works in the same industry as you do but is non-union.  In a minimum of 500 words, explain to that person what you believe to be the value and benefits that you receive from being in your union, and why they should consider joining one themselves.
