UFCW Local 328 Scholarship Application for 2022
Each year, the Local 328 Scholarship Committee awards ten (10) $1,500 Scholarships. This scholarship can only be awarded to an eligible member, spouse, child, or grandchild of a qualified member of either UFCW Local 328 or the Local 328 Retiree’s Club. The person who qualifies the applicant must be an active dues paying member and be in good standing with Local 328 or with the Local 328 Retiree’s Club. Additionally, students must be enrolled full-time in a degree program at any post-secondary college/university or vocational/technical school.

Winners: : All winners will be notified by mail no later than June 30, 2022. Winners are required to forward to the union office verification of their Fall 2022 full-time enrollment no later than November 4, 2022. This information can be obtained by contacting your school’s Bursar’s office (typically after the add/drop period has ended). This documentation must be on the school’s official letterhead and must be embossed with the schools official seal.

David is employed by Stop & Shop #71, Fall River, MA. David is beginning his freshman year at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA where he will be working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. David has been a member of Local 328 since 2020.
Grace E. Cerrato
Grace is the daughter of member Robert Cerrato who is employed by UFCW Local 328. Grace is beginning her sophomore year at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where she will be working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. Grace a two-time winner of a Local 328 scholarship!
Kevin D. Curtin
Kevin is the son of member Daniel Curtin who is employed by Stop & Shop #35, Hingham, MA. Kevin is entering his senior year at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay, MA where he is working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Management. Kevin a three-time winner of a Local 328 scholarship!
Sophie M. Gerardi
Sophie is the daughter of member Mark Gerardi who is employed by Stop & Shop #2415, Nantucket, MA. Sophie is entering her freshman year at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ where she will be working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science.
Hildey E. McCorkell
Hildey is employed by Stop & Shop #54, Abington, MA. Hildey is entering her freshman year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worchester, MA where she will be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering. Hildey has been a member of Local 328 since 2019.
Noah T. Mello
Noah is the son of member Kevin Mello who is employed by Stop & Shop #493, Dartmouth, MA. Noah is beginning his freshman year at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH where he will be working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
Renata A. Palladino
Renata is the daughter of Barbara Palladino who works at Stop & Shop #82, Halifax, MA and Mario Palladino who works at Stop & Shop #444, Whitman, MA. Renata is entering her freshman year at the State University of New York Oneonta where she will be working towards a Degree in History.
Domenic A. Pontarelli
Domenic is the son of Donald Pontarelli who is employed by Stop & Shop #443, South Attleboro, MA. Domenic is beginning his junior year at Rhode Island College in Providence, RI working towards a Degree in Health and Physical Education. Domenic is a two-time winner of a Local 328 scholarship!
Joseph T. Rezendes
Joseph is the son of member Timothy Rezendes who is employed by Stop & Shop #87, Mashpee, MA. Joseph is entering his senior year at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. He is working on a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. Joseph is a three-time winner of a Local 328 scholarship!
Adam M. Russo
Adam works at Stop & Shop #54, Abington, MA. He is beginning his senior year at Lasell University in Newton, MA where he is working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. Adam has been a member of Local 328 since 2019.
