Update for Peapod Drivers

Hello brothers and sisters,

Local 328 along with two other New England locals, agreed to a Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP) for all Peapod drivers in the Local 328 jurisdiction, as a result of the announced closing of the wareroom in North Providence, RI and the Fulfillment Center in Whitman, Massachusetts. 

We need to review the final details, but wanted to get this info to you today.  They will pay each driver one week’s pay including reported tips for every completed year of service with a minimum of 2 weeks.  If you participate in the Union medical plan, they will continue your coverage for 5 months staring with the month after your separation date. The company will be releasing the details of the agreement to all Peapod drivers by next Tuesday September 2nd.  If you have any questions please contact your union representative.
