Happy Pride Month!

Happy Pride Month from UFCW Local 328! Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising of June 1969 in New York City. At the time, police raids on bars catering to LGBTQ+ patrons were common. However, that night, the patrons of the Stonewall Inn fought back, marking the beginning of a movement to outlaw discriminatory laws and practices against the LGBTQ+ community. We want to give a shout-out to UFCW OUTreach for their amazing efforts to provide resources to help celebrate diverse and inclusive workplaces as well as to elevate the voices of LGBTQ+ members.

We stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ family as we recognize the impact that these members have had on the labor movement and the fight for equality and respect.
