Join Us in Observance of Workers Memorial Day

To our members,
UFCW Local 328 is proud to announce, along with UFCW Locals 371, 919, 1445, 1459, 1500, 342, & RWDSU Local 338, that on International Worker’s Memorial Day, Tuesday April 28th, we will be participating in a “Moment of Reflection” to honor yourselves, and those who have been affected by COVID‐19 and to recognize your efforts as you continue to work through the nation‐wide crisis at hand. If you are employed at Stop & Shop, an announcement will be made over the intercom at 10:00 a.m. and the company has agreed to not interfere with this moment.
This will be a time for reflection and self‐appreciation for all the sacrifices you have made and continue to make day in and day out. It allows our members to honor their fellow Union Sisters and Brothers who have passed away from COVID‐19, take a moment to think of their colleagues, friends and loved ones who are recovering from the illness, and to thank First Responders and essential workers for their continued service to our communities.
This time of reflection will be an opportunity for us to remember how safe and careful we must be when working and remember how important we are in helping feed and provide for the community we live and work in. This experience has been both physically and mentally tolling on us all and our families, so, as a show of solidarity and strength for one another, your participation is much needed in support of one another.
So, on April 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. we encourage all Local 328 members to join in on appreciation of all your efforts, to honor all First Responders, and in remembrance of your fellow Union Sisters & Brothers during this crisis.
Together we remain strong, together we remain united!
Work safe, work right!
Thank You,

Timothy M. Melia, President
